5 Absolutely Spooky Real Life Horror Stories That Will Freak You Out!

Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever experienced a spooky incident that freaked you out? No? Well, here’s something that will probably make you believe in ghosts! Or, probably, steal your night’s sleep!

If you’ve got an appetite for horror and ghostly stories, here are 5 absolutely spooky real life horror stories that will give you chills.

1. Man Under The Bed

Remember the time when we had the fear of someone being under our bed in childhood? Well, the story materialized in the USA in 2003, when a guest at the Capri Motel, Kansas City, complained of a foul smell in his room. Even after keeping the window open for three consecutive nights, the source of the stench could not be found. In fact, it only worsened with every passing day.

On the third day, it became so unbearable that the guest puked in the hotel room. When the cleaning staffs were called to clean the puke, they found a decomposing body of a man under the bed! No one had a clue as to who the man was and how we died in the hotel room. But it completely freaked out the guest who spent THREE NIGHTS sleeping on a bed that had a decomposing dead body underneath!

2. The Dyatlov Pass Incident

This happened in Russia in 1959 when a group of experienced hikers were skiing at the Dyatlov Pass and went missing. When investigators reached their tents in the Pass, it was discovered that the tents were torn from inside, the hikers had their body parts missing and fractured and there was very little clothing on all the bodies. The doctor who conducted an autopsy said that the bodies had massive internal injuries, like the ones someone can get in a car crash.

However, there were no signs of any accident or struggle and no one knew what led to the deaths. After proposing several death theories and reasons, the final verdict came out that the hikers died due to a compelling natural force!

Mmm, that’s really spooky, isn’t it?

3. The Dead Calling

Have you ever received blank calls where you receive the call and no one speaks? A similar incident happened in Los Angeles in September 2008. Charles Peck was traveling on a train to attend an interview when his train collided with another, resulting in a massive accident. After the crash, Charles’s fiancé, his stepmother, brother, sister, and son received several calls from his mobile phone. When received, no one would speak and when called back, they would directly be connected to the voicemail.

When an autopsy was conducted on Peck’s body, the doctors declared that Peck had died immediately due to the impact of the crash and there is no way he could have made the calls. And, what’s spookier is that the phone was never found!

4. The Story Of Elisa Lam

Elisa Lam, a 21-year-old student was found dead and floating a water supply tank on the roof of a hotel named Cecil in Los Angeles. Her body was discovered by a maintenance worker in the hotel after the guests complained that the water tasted weird.

After having checked the CCTV footage of her outside the hotel elevator, her behavior was found to be extremely weird and disturbing. Doctors claimed she did have a history of bipolar disorder, so the possibility of the girl committing suicide was initially considered; however, no traces of alcohol or drugs were found in the body in the autopsy.

What’s more disturbing is that the roof of the hotel is completely barricaded and also had an alarm. Moreover, the lid of the water tank was so heavy that the workers had to cut them to get her body out. Then how was it that Lam opened the lid, jumped into the tank and closed it? Or if she fell accidentally, how did the lid go back to its place?

PS: It wasn’t a murder as no marks of injury were found on her body.

Watch this YouTube Video captured when she was near the elevator.

5. Emails From The Dead

In June 2011, a man named Jack Froese died out of heart arrhythmia at the age of 32. Sad, but nothing freaky about it!

But, in November the same year, all of Jack’s friends received emails from his account. Although his family argued that they did not know his account password and there was no way his account could have been hacked, people still believed this was some sort of a prank.

Now, what’s spooky about this incident is that he emailed one of his friends to ‘clean his f***ing attic’, a personal conversation that was shared between the two friends a few days before his death. There was no way someone else could have known about this conversation.

Another email to a cousin stated that ‘I knew you would break your ankle’. The cousin had developed the injury just a week ago.

Now, that’s real scary!

Well it more sounded like a bed time story… What is spooky in that anyway?? I lived in a house where a student commited sucide and after that insident 3 people went missing and that house was shut for quiet long and I lived there in that very place 3 years later after all that happened!! Its not that I didn’t know about those insidents… I was very well informed. Its just ones mind that plays games. That’s psychology if you keep thinking about it even sound of drops of water in an empty house late at night can scare the shit out!!
